Junk Removal and Hauling in New Market, MD
New Market is a small town east of Frederick with a historic district of its own. We haul junk, clear out houses and garages, take down sheds and fences, and do repairs here, and the owner, James (Jay) King, is on every job.
How close we are
New Market is about 11 miles from 5738 Jefferson Pike, roughly 20 minutes. We schedule New Market jobs regularly, and there's no trip charge for a quote.
A historic district with its own review board
New Market has a historic district, and the town's Historic District Commission reviews changes to a property's exterior, including fencing, decks, patios, porches, garages, doors and windows. If your house is in the district and the job is taking down a fence, a porch or an outbuilding, check with the town before we start. Inside the house, the work is the usual for older homes: attics, basements and repairs. In the newer neighborhoods it's mostly garages, move-outs and backyard teardowns.
How New Market handles trash, bulk items and yard waste
- Town trash goes out Tuesdays: one container of 70 gallons or less, at the front curb by 6 AM. Brinkley Manor homes with a rear alley can use the rear curb.
- The town asks residents not to put recycling, yard waste, bulk items, tires or hazardous material in the trash. Its trash page lists no bulk pickup day.
- Recycling goes through Frederick County; the town page points residents to the county for it.
- Yard waste is collected Wednesdays from the first Wednesday in April to the last Wednesday in November, in paper bags. Branches must be cut to 3 feet, no more than 3 inches thick, and tied in bundles.
Information checked October 2026. Schedules change; the linked official page has the latest.
That leaves furniture, mattresses, appliances, and anything from a tear-out with no regular way out. We load it and haul it away, and after the last yard waste Wednesday in November we can take brush and leaves too. See junk removal for what we take.
Nearest drop-off
For anything the town won't take, the county's site at 9031 Reichs Ford Road is open to residents Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 4:30 PM. Accepted scrap metal and empty appliances go in free at the recycling entrance. Residents can also drop off up to five 30-gallon yard waste bags per day free; loads that carry a fee go through the main entrance. From New Market it's about 5 miles west, roughly 10 to 15 minutes.
