What I haul

If it fits on a truck and is not hazardous, I can usually take it. Common jobs in Frederick County:

  • Old furniture, mattresses and box springs
  • Appliances: washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves and water heaters
  • Yard debris and brush, bagged or loose
  • Construction and renovation leftovers: drywall, lumber, flooring and cabinets
  • Sheds, decks, fences and play sets: see light demolition and deck removal
  • Garage, basement, attic and storage unit clear-outs
  • Single items: one couch or a broken treadmill is a normal job

Loading, hauling, disposal and dump fees are all in the quoted price. I sweep the area when the truck is loaded.

How it works

  1. Send photos

Text a few photos and the address to 240-315-7030, or use the quote form. For bigger jobs I can come look in person.

  2. Get a written price

One price for the whole job, in writing, before anything is loaded. The price you agree to is the price you pay. Pick a day that works.

  3. I haul it

I show up when I said I would, carry everything out, load it, and leave the space swept. You pay when the job is done: cash, check, card or app.

What I won't take

Hazardous material stays where it is: paint and solvents in liquid form, chemicals, fuel, asbestos, and medical waste. Those need a specialist or a county drop-off, and I would rather tell you that up front than leave it in your driveway. I also don't do tree removal. If you are not sure about an item, put it in your photos and ask.

Towns I serve

I work in Frederick County only: Frederick, Urbana, New Market, Mount Airy, Brunswick, Jefferson, Adamstown, Middletown, Myersville, Walkersville, Woodsboro, Thurmont, Emmitsburg and every other town in the county. Staying close keeps scheduling simple, and there is no trip charge for a quote anywhere in the county.

Questions

How is junk removal priced?

By how much there is and how hard it is to get out. Stairs and long carries take more time than a ground-floor garage. Send a few photos and you get a written price before anything is loaded.

Can you take just one item?

Yes. A single couch, an old refrigerator or a broken treadmill is a normal job. The $100 minimum applies, and the price is still in writing before I load it.

Do you tear down sheds and decks?

Yes. Decks are on the deck removal page; sheds, fences, play sets and interior tear-outs like old cabinets or carpet are on the light demolition page.

What won't you haul?

Hazardous material: paint and solvents in liquid form, chemicals, fuel, asbestos, and medical waste. Almost everything else is fine, from furniture and appliances to yard debris and construction leftovers. If you are not sure about an item, ask when you send photos.

How soon can you do the job?

You get a date with the written quote. Tell me your deadline when you send photos and I will say right away whether I can meet it. Quotes usually come back the same day, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
