Junk Removal and Hauling in Brunswick, MD
Brunswick is a railroad town on the Potomac, and plenty of its houses are more than a century old. I haul junk, clear out houses, take down old sheds and decks, and do repairs here, with one truck and one person who quotes and does the work.
How close I am
From 5738 Jefferson Pike, downtown Brunswick is about 13 miles, roughly 20 to 25 minutes by way of Route 180 and Route 17. I schedule Brunswick jobs regularly, and there's no trip charge for a quote.
Railroad-era houses and newer neighborhoods
The B&O moved its freight yard to what was then Berlin in 1890, and the town went from a few hundred people to about 5,000 by 1910. Many of the houses on the steep streets above the rail yard date from that boom. Old houses here usually mean plaster walls, tight stairways, deep basements and outbuildings that have been standing a long time. On the edge of town, Brunswick Crossing is a newer planned community of townhouses and single-family homes, where the work leans toward garage clear-outs, move-outs and small repairs.
How Brunswick handles bulk trash and yard waste
Brunswick runs its own bulk and yard waste events instead of weekly bulk service:
- Curbside bulk days were April 4 and August 8 in 2026: four items per household, labeled "Bulk Trash" and out by 6 AM.
- Mattresses and box springs are not accepted at the curbside bulk days.
- A bulk drop-off day is set for December 12.
- Yard waste goes curbside on set dates in paper bags, with limbs cut to 4-foot lengths.
- The Public Works site at 600 Petersville Road is the drop-off point (listed hours 8 AM to 3 PM); check the town page for which materials it takes and on which days.
Information checked October 2026. Town schedules change; the linked town page has the latest.
If you have more than four items, a mattress, or a deadline that doesn't line up with the next event, I can haul it on a day that works for you. See junk removal for what I take.
Nearest drop-off
For anything the town won't take, the county's site at 9031 Reichs Ford Road is open to residents Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 4:30 PM. Accepted scrap metal and empty appliances go in free at the recycling entrance. Residents can also drop off up to five 30-gallon yard waste bags per day free; loads that carry a fee go through the main entrance. From Brunswick that's about 20 miles, close to half an hour each way, which is why one truckload with me often beats several trips in your own car.
